Our lettuces are harvested with the stem, which allows the plant to stay alive, remain fresh, and keep its flavor and nutritional value longer. They can be kept at room temperature (70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit) on a bowl of water or stored in a refrigerator. Consumers can eat it at once or just trim the leaves required to satisfy their culinary needs.
