Technology Innovations
Organic Aqua Fresh is at the forefront of agricultural innovation. Our R&D team has developed several intellectual properties, including the groundbreaking Intelligent Aquaponics System (IAS). This self-regulating system continuously monitors plant health, fish behavior, and water quality, enabling proactive intervention and optimizing production efficiency within a closed-loop ecosystem.
IAS Functionality:   The IAS continuously monitors and analyzes critical parameters, including plant nutrient levels, fish behavior, and water quality. This real-time data enables proactive identification and prevention of potential issues.
Sustainable Nutrient Source:   Our system utilizes fish waste as the primary source of nutrients for plant growth, promoting a sustainable and cost-effective approach.
Fish Production: Fish are raised in our on-site hatchery. Once they reach a suitable size, they are transferred to grow-out tanks. At approximately 1.5 lbs., they are harvested.
Waste Management & Resource Recovery:   Fish processing generates valuable byproducts. Fish fillets are harvested for sale, while the remaining biomass, along with plant trimmings (leaves, roots) and organic waste, is fed into an anaerobic digester.
Digester Benefits:   The anaerobic digester produces methane gas and a nutrient-rich liquid fertilizer.
Energy Generation:   Methane is used to fuel a generator, significantly reducing our reliance on grid electricity.
CO2 Enrichment:   Methane is also utilized to enrich the growing environment with CO2, optimizing plant photosynthesis.
Fertilizer Production:   The liquid fertilizer produced by the digester is rich in plant-available nutrients. It is injected directly into the growing systems, providing a continuous and sustainable source of nourishment.
High-Yield Fish Production:   Our design achieves exceptionally high yields, producing 3.9-4.2 tons of fish per year within a compact 250 square feet. This is facilitated by a highly efficient water exchange system, ensuring optimal water quality for both fish and plants.
Advanced Nutrient Management:   Extensive research has led to the development of specialized biological and mineralization filters. These filters, tailored to specific plant cultivars, supply on-demand soluble nutrients, eliminating the need for synthetic fertilizers.
High-Density Plant Production:   Our vertical and horizontal growing systems achieve remarkable yields, producing 550-600 pounds of produce per square foot per year.
Enhanced Plant Growth: Vertical towers create a vacuum at the root system, significantly enhancing CO2 absorption rates. Automated lighting systems dynamically adjust light intensity (DLI) throughout the plant's growth cycle, optimizing for desired growth rate, texture, flavor, and color.
By integrating the IAS with our aquaponics system, we achieve a highly efficient and sustainable operation that maximizes resource utilization and minimizes environmental impact.
Furthermore, our facilities are designed for self-sufficiency. By controlling fish production, energy generation, and plant cultivation, each facility can operate independently, reducing reliance on external inputs. This localized approach minimizes transportation distances, significantly reducing the environmental impact associated with food distribution to large metropolitan areas.
